Has Regifting Gone Too Far?

That orangy wrapping on there left? That’s the kind of bag that a nice loaf of crusty bread comes in. At least she put a nice “To/From” tag on it and closed off the open end with yellow tissue paper.

Upon removing the box of chocolates from the bread bag, I noticed that the box had already been opened as there was no shrink wrap around it. So I thought “OK, how weird is this?” and proceeded to open up the box of chocolate only to find some lollipops that were obviously left over from Halloween! I also noticed that the top layer of chocolates was missing…

Below the separator thingy (does it have an official name?) were only some of the chocolates strewn all over the bottom of the box and the better ones were missing.

This really burns me up. It’s insulting. With the amount of work that we do for the faculty we get an already open and half eaten box of chocolates as a ‘thank you’? Please, next time I’d rather not receive anything at all, or maybe a verbal thank you and a firm hand shake even.

(I do have to say though, this box came from one faculty member in particular, so in no way, shape or form am I going to hold it against all teachers. Most are very kind and generous)
