I was playing around again this morning with Picnik and I liked the result for both of these edits. I couldn’t decide on just one, so I’m showing off both.

I have Photoshop CS3 at home, yet I keep going back to Picnik, I even paid for the premium options. It’s fun and dead simple to use, but what I like the most is that I can access my photos from all services that I use; Facebook, Picasa Web Albums and of course Flickr (as well as Photobucket, Webshots and a few more options). So part of my workflow is making basic, yet essential, edits at home with Lightroom such as exposure, sharpness and colours (Lightroom offers much more control with RAW images) and then I upload them covertly to Picasa Web Albums (as a private album) until I can edit and tweak them to my liking with various effects and I also add my watermark with Picnik. I then transfer the new version to Flickr as a private photo until I’m ready to post it to the photoblog at which time I make the photo public on Flickr and add it to groups if I’m so inclined. The great part is that I can make edits from anywhere, so when I have free time at work, that’s when I’ll edit a photo or two and get them ready for posting.

Apparently, Adobe is working on an online version of Photoshop, I can’t wait to see that in action.

For the curious, here is the original image, taken back in November 2006 with my ol’ Canon Powershot S3 IS.

I like them both, but the vignetting is strong on the second. Is that the cathedral that’s pink inside?

Hiya Steve, been a while. Good to ’see’ you again. :)

It not quite pink… but to be honest, I’ve only been inside once for about 3 minutes and I wasn’t allowed to take any photos (there was a mass going on). I know they have some sore of light spectacle at certain times of the year. You can see some more photos here.
